HOW TO COME?

The symposium will be held at the National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR) MAP.

Here are three different ways to come to the NIPR from Narita international airport:

EASY but LUXURIOUS (about 5,000 yen; 2 hours)
Take the JR Narita express or the Limousine bus to Ikebukuro station or Shinjuku station, and take a taxi from there.

REASONABLE but TORTUOUS (about 2,500 yen; 1.5 hours)
Take 1) the Keisei skyliner (train) to Nippori station, change to 2) JR Yamanote line (train) to Sugamo station. Once at Sugamo, change again and use 3) the Mita line (subway, direction Takashimadaira) to Itabashi-kuyakusho-mae station. Walk straight for 10 min from A1 exit.

CHEAP and CHIPS (about 1,000 yen; 2 hours)
Take the Keisei line (limited express or express) to Nippori station, change to the JR Yamanote line to Ikebukuro station and there, change again and take the JR Saikyo line to Itabashi station. The institute is 15 minutes' walk from west exit of the station.
